My Story |
I’m an Italian chef with yacht, restaurant, fine dining, hotel, catering, baking and pastry experience, I am not afraid to work hard, clean a lot, sleep 4 hours per night, being woken up during those 4 hours (I won’t be thrilled, of course, but what to do, it’s the nature of the beast), organize meals at the last minute, help other departments when needed, and have a good crew night out when the opportunity arises. All my certificates and documents are current, STCW and Eng1, I hold PDSD, Adv. Firefighting, crowd and crisis management, Ship’s Cook Certificate, Food and Hygiene lev.3 and B1/B2 visa, Powerboat lev.2, Italian sailing and motor licence, SCR. I consider myself very professional, I’m an extremely clean person (In the galley and in the cabin too!), punctual (Usually early), a problem solver, I can lead and can be led, I’m a happy person, always with the smile, easy going, and a people pleaser. In my yachting years, I cooked for a multitude of crew members with various (if not infinite) allergies and intolerances, on top of the game with guests baking, pastry, and anything that is required (Yes, even that 3 am hamburger). I am culinary classically trained, my cuisine is mainly Mediterranean, European, Italian of course, international, American some Middle Eastern and some Asian, too. I’m very active and in love with the ocean. I’m an avid technical and rebreather diver, I like caves and deep wrecks and I just like whatever is done on and under the water (snow included).
