About Me

My Story

I have built a great reputation as a dependable Chef in the Industry with showering Guest’s compliments and smiles, due to the great Crews I have worked with, and learned from, and always learning and evolving. My next to do Specialized Chef Courses include Advanced Patisserie in France, and the Japanese Masterclass at the world famous Tokyo Sushi Academy. I started in Restaurants at age 12 working my way up from Dishwasher / Busboy / Waiter / Bartender.

I’m an easy-going person with a great sense of humor. I get along great with people and fit in very easily. I work very hard and run a very clean Galley. I often end up on last-minute calls where it’s a disaster, and I make it work and turn the worst of situations into the Best, and I certainly have the experience. I get along Great with the Interior Team, I adapt quickly to last-minute requests, keep cool and calm, and never throw hissy fits or give drama to an otherwise calm situation.

The Chief Stews I work with all say I’m “up-beat” and great to work with, and that I create a nice positive vibe in the Galley. I am certain my References will give you a good idea as to the quality I put on a plate, and how well I work with fellow Crew, and how I interact with Guests, and hands-on with Deck assistance wherever needed.

My Goals

I’m happy with any size vessel above 28m (that said smaller boats that at least have a decent Galley) and love my Freelance and short Seasonal work, but my ideal position I’d like to take hold of is a 2:2 Rotation on a 65m+. I have a place in Cape Town and want to do specialized BBQs for UHNWI’s and Corporate Events around the Western Cape. I need to work another 7 or 8 years in the industry before I have the finances to open my Pub and Grill in Cape Town.

My Hobbies & Interests

Love Hiking long trails, travelling with a 4 x 4 in Africa, Safaris, exploring new Countries and their Cuisine, Walking on beaches trying to find interesting things, Exploration, Swimming in cool spots and waterfalls.
